Paid tools
GlirOS is free. The apps, the account and GlirOS’s own tools cost nothing. Some tools in the GlirOS catalogue are made by other people or companies, and a few of those may be sold by their makers. This page explains who you are dealing with when you buy one.
You buy from the seller, not from GlirOS
- A paid tool shows “Sold by <seller>, not by GlirOS”, the seller’s name, organisation number and address, the price including VAT, and links to the seller’s terms and privacy policy.
- Your purchase is an agreement between you and the seller. The seller takes the payment (for example through PayPal), sends the receipt, charges VAT, and handles renewals, cancellation, refunds, your right of withdrawal and support for the paid part.
- We don’t take the payment, don’t see your card or payment details, and don’t tell the seller who you are.
What GlirOS does
- Before a paid tool is listed, we check that the seller has named themselves, shows the price including VAT, lets you cancel as easily as you bought, states its refund and withdrawal rules, and links working terms and privacy pages. A paid tool may never include the AI add-ons that are licensed for non-commercial use only. We don’t check that a seller’s terms are right.
- After you buy, the seller gives you a licence key. You enter it once in the app, and the app checks the seller’s signed licence on your device. The app contacts the seller’s server only to activate and refresh that licence, and sends only the key, the tool’s name, a random install number and the app’s version.
- A licence is refreshed at least every 7 days. Without internet, a paid tool keeps working until then, and afterwards asks you to connect so it can confirm the licence. Your files and chats are never affected.
Cancelling, refunds and your right of withdrawal
- You can cancel a subscription at any time on the seller’s page (the app’s Manage button takes you there). What you have paid for stays active until the end of the paid period.
- As a consumer in Norway or the rest of the EEA you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal (angrerett). For a subscription that starts at once, you may have to pay for the days you used; the seller’s terms say how.
- Sellers that use the GlirOS licence server kit give, unless they say otherwise, a full refund if you withdraw within 14 days the first time you subscribe to a tool, and a refund for the unused days after that.
If something goes wrong
Contact the seller first; their contact address is shown with the tool. If they don’t answer, or you think a tool breaks the rules above or the law, tell us at support@gliros.com. We can remove a tool from the catalogue. For help with a consumer complaint you can also contact Forbrukerrådet (the Norwegian Consumer Council).
Want to sell a tool?

GlirOS’s own paid products
The only things the company behind GlirOS charges for are GlirOS Plus and the listing of a paid tool in the catalogue. They are sold through Paddle under the subscription terms.
