Terms of use

These terms apply when you use GlirOS: the web version at www.gliros.com/app, the desktop app for Windows, a GlirOS account (app.gliros.com and home.gliros.com), the community forum, the support site and shared links on tools.gliros.com. GlirOS is provided by Gliros AS (org. no. 938 729 514, Kamfjordåsen 7, 3227 Sandefjord, Norway), called “we” below. Questions: contact@gliros.com.

1. What GlirOS is

GlirOS is a set of tools: an AI assistant with chat, files, translation, media, pictures, 3D and smaller tools. You decide what you do with them, and you are responsible for how you use them and for what you make with them. Using GlirOS is free of charge: the apps, the account and GlirOS’s own tools cost nothing. The only things GlirOS charges for are GlirOS Plus (remote access to your own PC from anywhere through our relay) and the monthly listing of a paid tool in the GlirOS catalogue, for creators who sell a tool; the subscription terms cover both. They are sold through Paddle.com, which is the seller (merchant of record) and takes the payment; Paddle’s terms of purchase apply to the payment. Paid tools themselves are sold by their makers, not by us (see paid tools).

2. Your account

  • You need no account to use GlirOS. An account lets you link your own devices and reach your own PC from a browser (remote access, part of GlirOS Plus), share a tool’s result, use the forum and the community tools, and sell a tool.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Buying a paid tool from a seller needs you to be 18 or older, or to have your parent’s or guardian’s consent where the law allows it.
  • An account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself and tell us at support@gliros.com if you think someone else has used your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time on home.gliros.com under My data.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use GlirOS to break the law or to harm others. In particular:

  • Use the faces and voices of real people only with their consent, and never to deceive, harass, shame or impersonate anyone. Don’t present AI-made pictures, video or voices of real people as genuine.
  • Respect copyright, trademarks and the licences of the models, add-ons and tools you use. Some AI add-ons (face swap, CodeFormer, face age) are licensed for non-commercial use only; you may not use them commercially.
  • Don’t make or share content that sexualises minors, incites violence, or is otherwise illegal.
  • Don’t attack, overload, probe or try to get around the security or limits of our services, and don’t use shared links, the forum or the relay to spread malware or illegal content.
  • Don’t resell access to our services.

4. AI can be wrong

AI models make mistakes. Their answers can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or made up, even when they sound certain. Check anything important. What GlirOS produces is not professional advice — not medical, legal, financial, tax or safety advice — and you should not rely on it as such.

5. Your content

What you write, upload and make is yours; we claim no rights to it. Most of it never reaches us: chats, files and pictures stay on your device. When you share something on tools.gliros.com or post in the forum, you allow us to store it and show it to the people it is meant for (anyone with the link, or the forum’s members) for as long as it is up. You are responsible for having the right to share it.

6. Services and tools from others

  • Cloud AI models are used with your own API key, straight from your device to the company you choose; their terms and prices apply, and they bill you directly.
  • Models and add-ons you download have their own licences, shown in the apps before you download them and on our licences page.
  • Tools in the GlirOS catalogue made by others are checked before they are listed, but they are provided by their makers. Paid tools are sold by their makers, not by us: see Paid tools. Home-made tools you install yourself are your own responsibility.

The forum has its own rules (on community.gliros.com). We may hide or remove posts and shared links that break these terms or the law, lock threads, and suspend forum access. You can report a post or a shared link; we look at every report.

8. Changes and availability

We work to keep our services running, but we can’t promise they will always be available or without errors. We may change or stop features. Planned work and outages are shown on status.gliros.com.

9. Suspension

If you break these terms, we may suspend or close your account or your forum access. Where it is reasonable we will tell you why first and give you a chance to respond. You can stop using GlirOS at any time.

10. Warranty and liability

GlirOS is free and is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we give no warranty beyond what the law requires. We are liable for loss we cause through gross negligence or on purpose, and as mandatory law requires. Otherwise our liability is limited to direct, foreseeable loss; we are not liable for indirect loss such as lost profits, or for data you have not backed up. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

11. Law and complaints

Norwegian law applies. If you are unhappy, contact us first at support@gliros.com. As a consumer you can also contact Forbrukerrådet (the Norwegian Consumer Council) for help with a complaint. If you live elsewhere in the EEA, you keep the protection of your own country’s mandatory consumer law.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will say so here and e-mail account holders at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
